Crafts – Paper lanterns

Youth Origami

A very big thank you to the super talented Zulay who came to teach us Origami this morning

We made a piano, a shark, a box and a jumping frog

And learnt lovely lessons about relaxation, taking our time and being patient as well as leaving our projects and taking a break to return to them if we feel frustrated and how we can always start again

Thank you to our lovely group who were all very friendly and happy this morning, you all did a fantastic job!

Youth Clip and Climb

This afternoon we had another group out at Awesome Walls in Liverpool on Clip n Climb where they experienced different walls and used varied techniques to get to the top of each one!

A huge well done to everyone! Facing fears and challenging yourselves to get to the top of each wall – you are all absolutely amazing and you should be super proud

Naturally the timed wall brought out the competitive side in some of our young people – beating some personal bests on there and racing one another up definitely looked like good fun! And a little shout out to one of our young people who scored the fastest time of the day so far at 19.95 seconds – an amazing achievement!

Canvas shoe painting

We had Jennie from Outline Arts come this morning to deliver a canvas shoe painting class and OH. MY. GOODNESS! The results were absolutely incredible!

With the help and guidance of Jennie and Elle our young people created absolutely amazing designs and the finished shoes were just fantastic! We hope everyone has had a great time, I’m pretty sure the staff were jealous

Youth Sports & Games

WOW! We had an amazing sports and games session last night! We played Rugby-Netball, Handball, Tennis-Rounders and more!! Super creative games and lots of laughs and energy throughout the whole group

Bowling and a Burger

A very competitive game of bowling last night and a cheeseburger and chips for tea whilst we were there

Another lovely group of young people who were helping and cheering for one another which is always great to see!

We have sports and games this evening so we expect the competitiveness to continue

Youth at Chester Zoo

We had an absolute ball at Chester Zoo on Friday! We worked as a team to crack codes and break out of the escape room, had a lovely lunch in the sunshine and worked our way around the majority of the zoo which was very impressive!

We had such a fantastic group of young people who all got on so well together, lots of chatter, laughs and friendships made

We are now starting the second week of our Summer Spectaculars and this week we’ll be bowling, enjoying sports and games, canvas shoe painting, rock climbing, making Origami, spending time on the water at Crosby Lakeside and getting crafty! It’s a busy week but we can’t wait

Another fabulous day

Bell Boating and Raft Building at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre this morning. Both are fantastic team building activities where young people have had to work together to move their boats and very importantly, build a raft that floats

A little bit windswept but all returned with smiling faces so that’s a good sign
