Thank you Sofia

Today we say goodbye and a HUGE thank you to Sofia who has been at WACA for the past 5 years as our Administrator. Sofia is moving on to another role and will be sorely missed by our members, our volunteers and our staff

We’re so grateful for all of Sofia’s hard work and dedication over the years, she has supported countless projects and helped to develop the charity in so many ways since she started.

A very big thank you and we’re wishing her all the best for the future and all the luck in the world as she moves into her new role

March Afternoon Lunch

It has been absolutely lovely to get back in to the swing of things with our afternoon lunches, we love seeing you all at the centre enjoying yourselves!

This month we have cooked Leek and Potato Soup topped with buttered leeks, Pasta Bolognese followed by a choice of School Cake and Custard or the extremely delicious Egg Custard Tarts from ‘I’m Your Baker’ who lives locally to the centre and kindly donated some to our meal.

February Afternoon Lunch

It has been such a lovely afternoon with lots of our members joining us for afternoon lunch today. A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers who do so much to support our lunches

We served carrot and sweet potato soup, jacket potatoes with various toppings and then we served scones with jam and cream and a fresh fruit salad

It’s always a busy day but so lovely for us to hear everyone laughing and chatting together and enjoying themselves

Craft Group

Our members bring their own materials each week and use the time and space to socialise with one another whilst continuing with their projects

It is absolutely lovely to be back after the Christmas period, today we held our first afternoon lunch of the year for local older people. It was so lovely to see so many people back in the centre
